Abingdon Manor Cooking Classes
Experience Our Cooking Classes at Our South Carolina Inn
Designed for 2 or 3 couples, or a maximum of 6 individuals, cooking classes at the Inn offer a fun way to eat your way through a weekend. Bring one or two couples or group of friends and receive hands-on instruction for some of the Inn’s favorite recipes and be part of preparing Saturday night dinner.

2 Night Package –
$465 per person – double occupancy or $685 – single occupancy:
Arrive Friday afternoon, settle in, relax, and unwind. After dinner, you can review the customized recipe book for the next day.
Enjoy breakfast Saturday morning then don your Abingdon Manor apron for the first class beginning at 10 a.m. After a lunch, on your own, the afternoon class runs from 1:30 to 4:30. While sampling some selections from Abingdon Manor’s wine cellar, work on that evening’s unique salad and entree. Each person receives hands-on experience as well as tips and techniques which can be applied to many meal situations. The sumptuous 6-course dinner begins at 7:30 that evening.
Sunday morning offers another full breakfast before you return home to try out your new menus and skills on your family and friends.
The all-inclusive package price of $465 per person includes accommodations for two nights (double occupancy), breakfast Saturday and Sunday, dinner Friday and Saturday, wine sipping, classes, recipe book, aprons, tax, and gratuity.
1 Night Package –
$290 per person – double occupancy or $400 – single occupancy:
Arrive at 10 Saturday morning for a day of cooking, that evening enjoy a relaxing dinner before retiring to your sumptuous room. Have a delightful breakfast Sunday morning before returning home. The package rate includes accommodations for one night (double occupancy), dinner Saturday night and breakfast Sunday morning, wine sipping, classes, recipe book, aprons, taxes and gratuity.
Classes & Dinner Package – $200 per person:
Join other students in the kitchen for a day of fun and learning. Enjoy the fruits of your labors that Saturday night at dinner. Package rate includes the classes, wine sipping, recipe book, aprons, taxes and gratuities.

Chef Patty Griffey sizes up her students with a smile that lets us know the only island in the room is the sizable one on which we’ll chop, whisk and stir. Cooking class is a team affair at Abingdon, and while the reputation of its AAA four-diamond dining room seems to be in the hands of novices today, it’s all good. The chef is an experienced pro, an expert at dishing out instruction with a heavy dollop of patience and praise and a pinch (or two or three) of laughter for good measure.
