Chocolate Tart

Desserts: Chocolate Tart
Serves: 8-10

Ingredients Crust
2 1/2 cups al purpose flour
1/2 cup ground nut meats (hazelnut, pecan, walnut, Brazil)
1/3 cup sugar
1 cup butter
1/4 cup shortening
1 tsp salt

Instructions 
Combine flour, nuts, and sugar. Cut in butter. Add enough water to form dough ball. Wrap and chill. Divide dough into two portions, 1 equal to 2/3 of dough, one equal to 1/3. Roll out 2/3 ball and line a 8 to 10-inch tart pan. Chill.

Ingredients Filling
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
1 12oz package bittersweet chocolate, chopped
6 egg yolks, beaten

Instructions 
In heavy sauce pan combine cream and chocolate. Heat over low flame to melt. When smooth, remove from heat and add eggs. Fill chilled tart pan and bake at 350° for 40 minutes. While tart bakes, roll out remaining dough. Cut into lattice strips or decorative shapes. After 40 minutes remove tart from oven and top with decorations. Return to oven for 10-12 minutes. Remove and cool.
