Shirred Eggs

Breakfast: Shirred Eggs

Ingredients 
Per individual serving
1 tsp butter
1 tbs whipping cream
1 jumbo egg
Shredded cheddar cheese
Snipped chives

Instructions 
Soften the butter in a 6 ounce ramekin or custard cup and spread around sides and bottom. Add cream, tilt ramekin to evenly cover bottom. Break egg over cream, and top with shredded cheddar cheese (amount to suit your taste). Top with chives. Bake in a preheated 425 degree oven for exactly 9 minutes. Carefully remove from oven (tongs work well). Yolks should be slightly runny, but you can cook a little longer if you prefer them firm.
